First I want to start off with a wedding I did last month. It was by far the biggest most high profile wedding I have ever done. Entertainment Tonight Canada was there from beginning to end, capturing Lauren and Erik, listening to her gush about her wedding. Although, with a small guest list of 80 people, it kept me and my crew of 5 very busy all day.
In the beautiful setting of Cultus Lake, Lauren Lee Smith and her fiance Erik Steingroever vowed to spend the rest of their lives together. Lauren Lee Smith, these days, is better known as Riley Adams on the hit TV series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. It was very exciting to work with Lauren and Erik as they were very personable and down to earth.
They decided on 3 venues! The church was a quaint little white rectangular chapel. We lined the aisle in white rose petals that framed the white carpet. This venue had a very bohemian/hippy feel. Fun and free!
The restaurant in which they held the ceremony had a log cabin kind of feel. We covered all that up to give the room a fresh clean feel, complete with 15 foot high wall drapery the covered the majority of the room. The chair covers and linens were white, and the room was complete with tall centerpieces of white curly willow with wired in white orchids. Oh and not to mention the HUNDREDS of white candles.
Last but not least, the party room! The third venue was a typical community hall, complete with awful panel board walls. This room we were to drape fully, walls and ceiling, in burgundy and black material, giving the room a 'burlesque' feel. As you can see in the photos, I think we succeeded in achieving that look!
It was pleasure to work with Lauren and Erik and I wish them both much happiness in their life together!
